Jewel was Lorelei's starter that was given to her by the academy. She's fairly childish and more than just a bit silly... and ridiculously loud. She loves to make friends and rough house, and she is developing a reputation for being a bit of a prankster every now and again. She loves Lorelei very much, but they're not what you would call close because Jewel is never serious and can be somewhat insensitive. Not on purpose, though.

Ellie is a real softie. She has all the same generous, kind, forgiving qualities of her trainer, except amplified. She's a real sweetheart, and very, very gentle. She's also very calm, all the time. Battling isn't her favorite thing to do, but she would do anything for Lorelei, because she is extremely loyal. She's not the best Pokemon for a Battling major, but she's the best Pokemon for Lorelei, because the two are very close.
MACK THE MAKUHITA

Mack is almost the complete opposite of what you would expect from a typical fighting type. Almost. He's a bit of a scaredy-cat, try as he might to hide it. He's scared of the dark, for one. He isn't scared of battling, thankfully, but he'd much rather play with his buddies that fight. Like Jewel, he loves rough-housing, so the two get along great. When he's in public, however, he quite often tried (and fails) to act tough.
