giselle’s loud thumps and even louder swear words probably weren’t helping her to attract any pokemon. she was on the hunt for a new addition to her team. someone she could use as an appeal round pokemon. she had reginald for the battle round. her trusty snover was a dream. some of the training majors said it wasn’t wise to specialize in one type, but what did they know on coordination? nothing. giselle was going to have team made of ice and grass type pokemon. and nothing anyone said or did would throw her off from achieving that vision. the brunette was currently tromping through the forest. she’d grown up in goldenrod city, so nature was a bit of a foreign concept. her feet were constantly snagging into roots that were jutting from the ground. reg strolled quietly along. he wasn’t happy with the summer weather, but he dealt with it alright. the white bulk didn’t speak much. giselle definitely did all of the talking for the both of them. the eighteen year old had quite the mouth. and the temper. she would blow up on anyone if she became too stressed or upset with them. her snover helped calm her down most of the time. “sno,” he commented quietly, pointing at a root giselle was about to step into. the oblivious student gave her pokemon a grateful smile and placed her freshly manicured hand on the top of his spiked head. he closed his eyes in contentment.
“thanks reg. you know, if mom and dad hadn’t sent me here, i never would’ve gotten you? you know how different our lives would be? i mean, sure, i’ve only had you for like three weeks. but still. things would be so messed up for me. i miss all my old friends in goldenrod, but they weren’t exactly the good crowd. alcohol and stuff, you know?” the girl continued to blabber on and on and the dual ice and grass pokemon simply nodded. he was used to this kind of stuff. no matter how hard he’d try, there was no escaping his human’s brazen personality. giselle was not afraid to speak her mind and tell of people. the petite girl had an attitude the size of the sun. that was for sure. reginald paused when giselle stopped talking. she was avidly chugging a water bottle that was emptying fast. a bead of sweat rolled down her face and the snover cleared his throat. opening his mouth a bit, a large breath of cool air spread out onto her face. his powder snow move chilled the remaining water and refreshed giselle’s energy. she wasn’t quite so tired now that she had the cold snow specks cooling her off. “i say thank you a lot. know that? seems like i do it more than regular students do here to their pokemon.” the snover dipped his head absentmindedly. he wasn’t huge on praise. it made him feel very self-conscious.
the two walked on. giselle was too preoccupied with her shiny new cellphone to notice her pokemon beside her. though reginald was new to the girl, the blasted phone was newer. it was a gift from her parents. the same parents that never spared any attention to their only daughter. they always seemed too busy with their work. both her father and mother managed some large and expensive corporation in goldenrod city. always away on business, but never ceased to spoil giselle with the best of everything. the nanny was more of a mother than her actual mom, but it never bothered the easily distracted girl. with the constant supply of gifts, she never even noticed. and the phone had arrived days ago with a card that read: “we miss you darling. send pictures. much love, mom and dad.” it was in no way a hand-written card, for it was clearly typed out on the computer. but, again, did giselle notice? nope. not a bit. she was sending texts immediately following turning the phone on. she texted now and reginald would gently tug her out the way of any roots that may have caused her to stumble. after a few more minutes passed on, the girl finally shut her phone. they had reached a clearing at last. reg squatted down in the shade and closed his eyes. peace and quiet. at last… “hellooooo? are there any grass pokemon out and about? or people? reg and i simply adore meeting new people.” or not.
