(I'll explain this in ooc so that its easy to understand. First off, this is OPTIONAL. Robin just wants to test her new students to see how good they are, by battling them. No worries, she has a level 5 Pokemon to work with. After the first battle, the Ledyba will remain at level 6/7 [depending on if the battle was won or lost] for the whole thread, so that the battles will be as fair as possible for all new trainers with weak Pokemon.
Now, I would like us to determine the winner in ooc BEFORE the battle takes place- either PM me or just post here in ooc to decide that. I would like Robin to win most of the battles, or at least half of them, because she is a training teacher, after all, with a lot more experience than any of these students. However, if you are battling with a rock-type [especially if they have a rock-type move], then it is almost guaranteed you will win because of Ledyba's 4* weakness to rock. Fire, electric, ice, and flying also have a 2* advantage on Ledyba.
All battles will be one on one, and each trainer will only use one Pokemon. After all, Robin only has one Pokemon that isn't in the 30's. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I hope I explained this well.)

A cheesy smile was plastered on Robin's face as she scooted all of the desks and chairs, et cetera, to the edges of the large room. Her high heels clicked on the linoleum floor as she walked. She was in her usual professional clothes- tan, somewhat loose slacks with a tight belt. A baby blue button up shirt- which accented the redness of her hair- tucked into the pants. Her hair was in loose curls, and pulled up into a ponytail... although that was those pesky pieces of hair on the sides that refused to stay in the ponytail. Instead, they kept getting into Robin's face.
Blowing the hair out of her face, Robin stood up and looked around. All of the desks and chairs were out of the way. Now she just had to wait for students to show up. She walked over to her desk at the front of the room- click, click, click went her heels- and sat herself upon it. A squeak came from behind her, and then her Ledyba climbed onto the desk, up Robin's back, and perches itself on Robin's shoulder.

[[Hey. I guess I’ll be the first to take this on ^^ I wouldn’t usually ask of it, but could I request that Hale win this round? She’ll be using Wednesday—a Litwick who has the 2x advantage and due to her dual-typing of Ghost-Fire is carrying a ¼ resistance towards Cherry’s type-based attacks.]]For the first time in a long time, the brunette form whom early mornings had always been a bane was up at the crack of dawn to start her first day of classes. Given, Wednesday the Litwick’s idea of a morning call had a lot to contribute to that, namely her hopping over Hale’s awkwardly sprawled sleeping form while attempting to give the girl a hug…only to accidentally burn her cheek. Cold water, ice packs and a trip to the medical bay later, the trio of pantslizard, quivering candlebeast and trainer trudging through the still-empty halls to find their way to the classroom finally came across a hall with a number plaque above the door which matched the one listed on Hale’s schedule.
“Well…this is it fellas. First day o’ training. Let’s give a good impression, eh?” Hale quirked a small grin as she looked down at Jethro who merely raised an eyebrow at her statement, and then pointed to the Litwick who was still quivering with a look of anguish written all over those waxy features that made Hale frown a little as she knelt down to gently prod Wednesday in the side playfully.
“Hey….why the long face doll? That ain’t the spirit tae be goin’ tae yer first class with…c’mon now, lesse a smile.”
“Littttwiccck…..Wick?” The little Candlejill’s lips quivered as she reached out and gently pawed the dark patch of skin on Hale’s cheek where her flame had accidentally burned the girl. She hadn’t meant for that to happen and to go unpunished for such an offense made her think that her ‘mother’ was secretly angry with her. What she wouldn’t give to have been yelled at…if only because she knew she deserved----
“This? Ach, it’s nothin’.” Said Hale dismissively as she rubbed the burnt skin gingerly. It still stung at any contact but as far as she was concerned, it was a wholly superficial injury…and a decidedly common one too, having a fire-type as young as Wednesday was.
“Give it a few weeks and it’ll be like it never happened, luv. T’was an accident, that’s all. Don’t let that get ya down alright?”
The trainer gently pressed her thumb along the Litwick’s jaw as the little creature finally broke into a sheepish grin and then held out her stubby arms, mutely asking to be hugged.
“Alright. Group hug.”
Lifting the Litwick in her arms and feeling the pantslizard clamber up her legs to reach her shoulders, the three of them in the middle of the corridor held each other for several long seconds before Jethro decided that this was beginning to erode his coolness meter and he finally let go of Hale’s shoulders to flop over her head instead on his favorite perch while Wednesday snuggled in her embrace.
“Let’s kick some arse.”
With that, Hale’s feet took her into the classroom, which as expected this time of the morning was still empty. All the desks and chairs had been pushed to the side of the hall, leaving the middle a wide-open space and this signaled to her that today’s lesson would be a practical one.
Only one desk wasn’t moved, and that was the one closest to the front behind which sat an older woman with long, flowing crimson hair and what looked like an oversized ladybug perched on her shoulder.
Common sense told her this was the tutor for today, and as she approached the woman, her first instinct was to offer a salute as she often did commanding superiors during her time in her brother’s platoon.
“Top o’ the mornin’ tae ye, miss. Name’s Hale Callahan—training major and this here’s Jethro and Wednesday.” Hale introduced herself and her team who nodded in unison before she gestured at the ladybug
“I wager ye’ll be usin’ that little blighter there fer today’s lesson? If so, I’ll be using Wednesday here.”

(Yes, your Litwick definitely has a huge advantage. It will be quite fine to have Robin and Cherry lose this particular battle.)
Robin looked over at the spunky girl as she came in the room, in the company of two Unova Pokemon. She stood up and smiled as the girl saluted her. She nodded as the three of them were all introduced to her. "It's nice to meet all three of you." She said, taking Cherry from her shoulder perch and holding the Ledyba in her arms instead. "I am Robin Fallamhan, Training teacher and Breeding assistant. And this is Cherry the Ledyba, and yes, she will be the one battling against you."
Cherry stared at the Litwick with narrowed eyes. She wasn't nervous, though. I mean, of course not. Why should a big, strong Ledyba be scared of a... whatever that was. Candle thing. Robin looked down at Cherry. She knew her Pokemon had a bit of an issue with... overconfidence. She was absolutely convinced that she was the most powerful Pokemon in the whole blasted universe.
Robin, thankfully, was not as blind as her Ledyba. She knew that Wednesday had a huge advantage over Cherry. But it wasn't like she could just use another Pokemon. All of her other Pokemon were way too powerful to use against new students, so she was stuck with Cherry. It was sad that she was at such a big disadvantage, and that she was almost guaranteed to lose, but Robin definitely wasn't going to let that stop her from battling.
Robin would give this trainer a run for her money. Cherry might be an inexperienced battler, and the Litwick might have a huge type advantage, but there was a reason that Robin was a teacher here instead of a student, and it wasn't just because of her age. She had talent and experience, and she would give this gal a run for her money.
Bringing the Ledyba up so they could speak face-to-face, Robin gave Cherry a serious look. "Avoid Ember like the plague, my friend, and be light on your feet." She told her Ledyba sternly. Cherry nodded, just as somber-faced as her trainer. Robin nodded as well, and then set Cherry on the ground.
The training teacher looked at Hale and gave a grin. "After you, my dear," she said, gesturing to the battle space that she had cleared for the battles, "and let's get this party started."
